e-mail in elevator accident case to be probed

Police have decided to verify the authenticity of a complaint filed by a professor who escaped death due to a freak accident of elevator at National Games Housing Complex at Hotwar. The incident took place on June 15 and police received a complaint on June 18. “We will send an official to investigate the complaint. Since we have received complain through e-mail we need to verify it before registering FIR. Around 2-3 people have been named in the complaint,” said Ranchi SSP, Prabhat Kumar.

Oraon, Verma inducted in Congress

Former IPS officer, Arun Oraon and former VC of Ranchi University, Prakash Verma on Saturday joined the Congress party at a ceremony at the party office. Oraon and Verma ere inducted in the party in the presence of JPCC president, Sukhdeo Bhagat and ClP leader, Alamgir Alam. Oraon said, Congress is the only party in the country which can take all communities on board and march forward.

Blood Donation Camp at GEl Church Complex

On the occasion of International Yoga Day, a blood donation camp will be organised by Medical Help Advisory at GEl Church on Sunday. Healthy people aged above 45 kg with a minimum hemoglobin level of 12.3 are eligible for donating blood. 

Book released on Jesuit Society

A 400 page book on ‘Jesuit Mission among the Adivasis of Chotanagpur’ highlighting the 200 years of Society of Jesuit was released by Cardinal Telesphire P Toppo at XISS on Saturday. It is for the first time indigenous fathers have written and edited such a kind of book. Father Francis Minz is the Editor. Cardinal denoted the book as a milestone in the history of the region. 

Aao Haath Milaye holds program for children

Aao haath milaye organisation conducted a program on June 20 at St.Aloysious High School, to bring out the hidden talent of the children. About 250 children participated in the program. They organized elocution, rangoli, poem reciting, and drawing competition among children. Further this competition will be held in 50 schools of city. The winners of the competition will be felicitated.

PNB’s retail loan mela

The Zonal Office of Retail Assets branch of Punjab National Bank today organized a retail loan mela. The fest was inaugurated by Zonal Chief, PK Pradhan who on the occasion said, banks’ cooperation is imperative for the economy. Apart from the retail assets branch, other urban branches of the bank participated in the loan mela. loan amounting to Rs 6.27-crore were sancationed to 77 customers.

Cong to release White paper on BJP JPCC president, Sukhdeo Bhagat today constituted a committee for releasing a white paper on the BJP government in Jharkhand. The Congress’ white paper is likely to be released on June 26.

RMC to look over Water Mapping

RMC will soon make guidelines for water mapping in all the wards keeping the water crisis in mind. The decision was taken during the extended board meeting of the corporation on Saturday. Presently, the RMC employees are conducting survey for the Water Mapping which will be continued till June 30. Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvergia said the pending schemes of the RMC are being monitored regularly when the ward councillors raised queries over the lack of improvement in their respective wards. There was also a hot argument between the Mayor Asha lakra and Vijayvergia. The Procurement Committee of the Corporation will decide the name of the company for the Solid Waste Management on June 29.
