DC asks for beneficiaries’ detail
Ranchi DC Manoj Kumar on Thursday instructed all circle officers to conduct a survey of all village committees and prepare a list of beneficiaries with the help of the committee for distributing forest land under Forest Rights Act. Meanwhile, funds towards disaster relief has been sanctioned to Ranchi district and distribution of funds will begin from next week as all blocks will be sent respective share of funds in the coming week.
Min labour inaugurates HDFC’s branch
labour Minister, Raj Paliwar on Thursday inaugurated a branch of HDFC Bank at Kantatoli. Paliwar said people will get banking facilities and the bank will fulfill banking needs of all. The branch at Kantatoli is the ninth branch of HDFC Bank. Circle Head of HDFC Bank, Shubhakar Vishwas; Cluster Head, Kumar Abhishek and Branch Head Rohit Kumar Singh were present on the occasion.

JVM Shyamali bagged cash award, medal and shield in the Anurag Singh Mastermind Inter School Quiz Competition held at St Xavier’s School on Thursday. The team of students of JVM who won the award included class twelfth students Akshat Anuj, Souvik Paul and Reetik Ranjan.
legal Aid Fest at NUSRl begins
The four-day legal Aid Fest at NUSRl was unveiled by Information Commissioner Aditya Swarup on Thursday. RINPAS Director Amool Ranjan Singh highlighted on the initiatives taken by JHAlSA for the needy ones at their asylum. Also, he spoke about the Mental Health Bill 2013. The Centre for legal Aid Programme of NUSRl is organising the fest.
Inter-House TT Meet at DPS begins
Inter House table tennis tournament was inaugurated by Principal Ram Singh at Indoor stadium in Delhi Public School. Sutlej House was the winner and Ganges House was the runner up. The tournament will conclude on Friday.
Financial literacy Session at DPS
A Financial literacy session was conducted by Reserve Bank of India, Ranchi office at DPS, Ranchi on Thursday. The programme was attended by around 250 students and teachers. The Principal Ram Singh delivered the inaugural address.RBI officials briefed the students on functions of RBI, salient features of Bank Notes, awareness on fictitious offers of money and Banking Ombudsman Scheme.
Footpath vendor donates for quake victims
