Domicile meet deferred
Much awaited all party meeting called by the Government on March 30 has been deferred for April 7. The meeting was to discuss draft proposal for a domicile policy for Jharkhand. Officially it is being maintained said that the postponement has been due to JMM’s parliamentary meeting.
FJCCI pens letter to MlAs, MPs
FJCCI penned an open letter to all MlAs and MPs of Jharkhand to draw their attention towards the state of affairs at Krishi Bazaar Samiti. The federation alleged that the bazaar samiti has failed to meet its objectives and functions. The federation alleged that the bazaar samiti has become a tool in the hands of officials to harass businessmen. Also, the apex body of traders highlighted that no agricultural produce is traded as 28 bazaar samitis across Jharkhand and demanded abolition of the system.
Meeting of YMCA organised
Y's Men's Club of Ranchi on Sunday held a special meeting to honour Eckard M Geislar, Secretary for World Service & International Relations, YMCA Westbund, Germany. Eckard's visit is to strengthen the relationship between Ranchi YMCA and the German YMCA and to plan out their further course of action. Recently the German YMCA has started supporting the girl child programme of Ranchi YMCA, "SIGN OF HOPE". President Shambhu Churiwala presented a memento to Geislar.
