Firebolt team
Team Firebolt, Official off roading team of BIT Mesra, has made a remarkable achievement again. On March 14, online rules quiz for BAJA Student INDIA 2016 were held all over India in which teams from IITs , NITs, IIIT and various other colleges participated. Out of all teams Team Firebolt stood first answering all questions on about 3 minutes. Team Shaurya Racing, a subsidiary team of BIT Mesra also gave the online quiz and stood second all over India in the same. The team now overlooks for starting its manufacturing for making an off road car whose aim is to give podium finish in the main event, BAJA Student India 2016 sponsored by Tata Motors.
ROYlA at ISM
The two-day Rotary Youth leadership Award 2015 (ROYlA) was unveiled at Institute of Science and Management, Pundag on Tuesday. Rotarian Sarad Poddar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. Around 300 participants including students from St Xavier’s College, Marwari College and Ranchi Women’s College along with faculty members from various educational institutions witnessed the inaugural ceremony.
Utilisation certificate
JEPC State Project Director has allotted an amount of Rs 50,000 to each government school of the city through the savings account of RMSA or SMDC few days back. Schools were given a deadline of January 31 to submit the details of money utilised by them. However, moist of the schools have failed to produce. They have now been instructed to produce certificate of the utilized or exhausted amount by March 25. The letter regarding in the order was sent to each school principal on March 16.
Painting Camp
The five-day Tribal, Folk and Traditional Painting Camp will be inaugurated by Sports Minister Amar Kumar Bauri at Dr Ram Dayal Munda Kala Bhawan on Wednesday. Artists from five states including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Bihar and Odisha will be participating here. The information was given by painter Vinod Ranjanon Tuesday.
Timely salary
RU V-C Ramesh Kumar Pandey during a meeting with RUCCTA members on Tuesdaysaid all the staffs will receive their salaries by the first date of every month. The payment will be transferred directly to their bank account. The promotion of university staffs has already been started. Pandey said the university will start file tracking system by the first week of April.
