Hockey Jharkhand to conduct selection trial
A selection trial by Hockey Jharkhand for senior men and women as well as for junior men and women for the National Hockey Championship will be held at Astro Turf Hockey Stadium on March 14 and 15. On the basis of the selection, players for State senior women’s hockey team, junior women’s hockey team, and senior and junior hockey men’s team for the upcoming tournaments will be decided. The information was given by Hockey Jharkhand president Bhola Nath Singh on Sunday.
lafarge marks National Safety Day
lafarge India’s Jojobera Cement Plant (JCP) reiterated its commitment to health and safety on March 4 while celebrating the 44th National Safety Day on the plant premises. As part of the celebrations, the safety flag was unfurled by Navin Verma – AVP (Operations), Jojobera Cement Plant and Bijay Khan – General Secretary, lafarge India Employee Union. Also present at the occasion were senior members from the plant team, employees, and officials from the employee union.
UN event held at Taurian World School
Model United Nations Simulation Programme was conducted by Grade 9 to 11 at Taurian World School on March 3. The topic of discussion was ‘Environmental Issues’. The programme was chaired by Aniket Agarwal of Class XI, Director Shirsh Raj Anand of Class X and Rapporteur Irine Banerjee of Class XI along with different students as delegates representing different countries. Every delegate presented their views and probable solutions to the environmental issues existing in their country. The programme went on for more than one hour and at the end Raj Anand, student of grade X concluded the session by amalgamating different viewpoints of delegates.
