SAIl’s Road safety awareness campaign
SAIl Safety Organisation in association with Traffic Police, Ranchi organised the 26th Road Safety week during 11th - 17th January. A campaign vehicle with vital information on road safety was flagged-off on 15 January from SAIl, RDCIS building by MR Panda, ED (HRD), MTI in presence of BB Mishra, ED (SSO); Neeraj Mathur, ED (CET) and Senior officers of SAIl units at Ranchi. The campaign was joined by Anoop Birtharay, SP (City); Pramod Ranjan, Officer In-charge, Traffic Police Ranchi at Birsa Chowk.
Governance Day at IIM Ranchi
IIM Ranchi held a stimulating session of oration to mark the celebration of ‘Good Governance Day’, which is celebrated to mark he birth anniversary of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. There were three themes for the participants to choose and speak upon — ‘Smaller states make for better governance’, ‘Role of bureaucracy in Good Governance’ and ‘liberalisation is the only way forward for India’. The event saw the participation of 9 students spanning across the junior, senior as well as FPM (Fellowship Programme in Management) batch.
Allahabad Bank CMD to visit Ranchi today
Rakesh Sethi, Chairman and Managing Director of Allahabad Bank, a premier Public Sector Bank of the country, will be visiting the historical city of Ranchi for first time on January 16. During his visit, Sethi will review performance of the Bank’s five Zones in two states namely Jharkhand and Bihar, within the jurisdiction of Field General Manager (Central East). He is also likely to address and interact with the senior branch heads functioning in these zones on business development issues.
Sports events held at RIMS Synergy
The second day of the annual fest Synergy of RIMS started with the inauguration of late Sneha Chaudhary Table Tennis Tournament by Professor NP Sahu. The inauguration match was played between Anugrah (2k11) vs Amit Kumar (2k14) in which Anugrah (2011) won. later on football was inaugurated by Dr BK Prajapati and Dr Parasnath. The inauguration match was played between 2011 vs 2014 in which 2k11 won by 2-0. In the evening badminton match was inaugurated by Dr PN Ram and other doctors. Other games like Chess, Throwball, Khokho Boys and Carrom were also organised.
Govt Schools lack internet facilities
According to RMSA’s report released on Thursday, among the 31 Government schools of Ranchi district equipped with mobile signal providers, and broadband connection is working in four schools while one school has Wi-Fi facility. The information was given by Ranchi DEO SC Marandi on Thursday.
Biometric Attendance in Sadar Hospitals
With the announcement of starting Biometric Attendance System in all the Sadar Hospitals, Civil surgeons have geared up. All the employees will soon be trained on how to use the machine for marking their attendance. Presently, doctors are unable to mark attendance in the Biometric Attendance System installed at Khunti and Dumka. Taking action over the matter, RIMS doctors have been asked to mark attendance in Biometric system on Friday. Even on Thursday, some doctors were seen using the system.
“With this process, doctors will get their salaries through online mode as per the attendance on Biometric System from February,” said Joint Secretary of Health, BK Mishra.
