In a bid to adjudging the best integrated steel Plant in the country for PM’s Trophy for the year 2013-14, a team of panel of assessors rushed at Bokaro on Thursday to visit Bokaro Steel Plant (BSl).
The team comprising JC Ayalawadi, S Satish Kumar, Narendra Nath Mennon, Kajal Das were here to evaluate BSl’s performance in various parameters laid down for the coveted trophy during their two day visit.
The team apprised of BSl’s performance in various areas of its activities through a presentation at Bokaro Niwas after their day one visit. The team visited the Plant’s Coke Oven 1 and 2, Blast Furnace- 2, Continuous Casting Shop (CCS), HSM and CRM-3 with other ongoing projects, to assess the Plant’s performance on various parameters; the team interacted extensively with various cross-sections or groups of BSl executives and employees, BSl officials said.
Plant’s activities related to Resource Management, Quality Management, Customer related issues, Employee Motivation, Communication Systems, Maintenance Management, Health & Environment, Safety Awareness and CSR interventions were extensively evaluated during these interactions, said the official.
