Khalkho on campaign trail
Ranchi: Former Mayor Rama Khalkho on Tuesday campaigned in ward-31 and communicated to people the works done during her tenure as the board head of RMC. Khalkho claimed that she had brought changes in the RMC’s style of functioning.
SDO chairs meet ahead of Jagannathpur mela
Ranchi: SDO Sadar Amit Kumar today chaired a meeting called for discussing preparations ahead of the Jagannathpur mela. The festival will be organized on June 29. The meeting focused on providing drinking water, proper lighting at the site of mela, safety at the mela and medical facilities especially during car-festival. The meeting was attended by COs, BDOs and health officials besides other government officials.
Barsa Gari promises jobs for unemployed women
Ranchi: Mayoral candidate Barsa Gadi while campaigning ahead of the Mayoral Polls said that she will try to assure jobs for the women besides providng basic requirements for the people of Ranchi. Connecting the jobless women with Swarnajayanti Rozgar Yojana will be on the top of her priorities. Suitable and respectable arrangements will also be made for the street vendors in order to retain their self respect in the society. Gadi visited several areas of Ranchi during the campaign.
AJSU to launch state-wide postcard movement
Ranchi: In order to press their demand of special status for Jharkhand, AJSU party has decided to launch its postcard movement across the state which is to be started by paying tribute to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his martyr’s day. The party will pay tribute to all its martyrs on June 22 at the block level by taking pledge of ‘First Battle for Separate State, Next Battle for Special State.’
