Bank employees’ strike affects people
Hazaribagh: On the call of their central committee, the bank employees were on strike on Monday and Tuesday. Due to three-day closure though the Government has lost crores of revenue but the general people suffered more than that. The strike has concluded now but may resume if demands of at least 30% salary hike are not met by the Government.
‘fill vacancies of sevika, sahayikas’
Hazaribagh: The Commissioner of North Chotanagpur division Surendra Singh Meena has directed the district officials to fill the vacancies of sevika and sahayikas of Aanganbadi Kendras as soon as possible. In Hazaribagh district 30 posts of sevika and 27 posts of sahayika are vacant. Meena was reviewing the progress of different government schemes going on for the welfare of children and women in the commissionaire.

Jamshedpur: The new general manager of South Eastern Railway (SER), Radheshyam, on his maiden visit to Tatanagar railway station, promised better amenities for the passengers. Agarwal informed that the SER will invite fresh tenders and proposed second entry to the station from Burmamines-end. The process is expected to be completed by December 2014.
3rd consecutive term for Avatar Singh
Hazaribagh: Sardar Avatar Singh has been elected the President of Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha of Hazaribagh for the third consecutive term. In the election process 301 members casted their vote in which 4 votes were rejected during counting. Sardar Avatar Singh got 172 votes and thus defeated Kulwant Singh who got 125 votes.
