Akthar meets GUV, seeks support for minorities
State Minority Commission President Shahid Akthar met with the Governor Sayed Ahmed to give his best wishes for the New Year.
In the meeting Akthar urged the Governor to work in the direction of developing state minorities and handed over a ten listed plan letter. Governor has shown a positive response over the proposal and has ensured to come up with concrete solution soon.
J’khand has 2% job reservation for players
CS RS Sharma on Friday informed that state offers two percent quota in employment of local sportspersons. He said that earlier there was no such provision. For availing this quota players will have
to bag international, national or State level achievement. According to Sports Secretary Vandana Dadel, government will provide jobs to players of archery, cricket and hockey who have brought laurels to the State.
CS steps for health insurance of BPl
CS RS Sharma had directed the State Government officials to ensure the BPl people like rickshaw pullers and auto rickshaw drivers with National Health Insurance Plan. Under this scheme families of the BPl individuals can avail the health facilities in the district hospital.
