Workshop-inspiration programme at Ignou
lOHARDAGA: A workshop-cum-inspiration programme was organised by IGNOU in the premises of BS College lohardaga. In the programme many educationalists and scholastic gathered. These included Dr. Arjun Dev Sharma, the former head of department of Hindi from Ranchi University, ex principal of BS College Prof. PN Agarwal, principal-in charge prof. Gossener Kujur, prof. Shamima Khatoon and Dr. Kanjiv lochan. The coordinator Prof. Shashi Gupta said, “The provision for study for the people who can not pursue their further studies in regular courses has been proved a sheet anchor for them. Keeping in view the IGNOU centre of lohardaga has been established in 2005.” “Throughout the country about 3 thousands centre run and more than 27 lacs students are enrolled here. less fee structure and conduction of examination at scheduled time table added much popularity to the courses. In lohardaga about 30% of women of the total students are pursuing their courses. From this year the forms of B.Ed course are also being made available,” he added. On this occasion, Prof PN Agarwal, Prof Shamima Khatoon, Prof Gossener Kujur, and others addressed the programme giving lights on the value of the different courses run by IGNOU.
Signature campaign to shift petrol depot
Ranchi: loksahbha Yuva Congress will organize a signature campaign demanding shifting of petrol depot from Chutia area. The organization had earlier protested on August 2013 in favour of their demand but the officials did not do anything in this regard. The signature campaign will begin at 12 am.
Cong district, block committees meet
Ranchi: Jharkhand State Congress Committee president Sukhdeo Bhagat has called a meeting of the presidents of district and block Congress Committee on Thursday at the Assembly auditorium in Ranchi. Meeting of Block Congress Committee will be held at 11:30 am while of District Congress Committee take place at 3:30 pm. Discussion regarding adding more teeth to the organization will be discussed during the meeting along with the organizational issues.
FJCCI members meet industry secretary
Ranchi: A meeting between the Industry secretary and Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce & Industry was held on Thursday in Ranchi where problems related to the pollution control board were tabled. The industrialists coming from all over the state put their problems before the secretary and sought speedy solutions for them.
