Court rejects Bandhu’s petition
A special CBI court on Monday rejected the petition filed on behalf of Mandar MlA Bandhu Tirkey seeking extension on the stay put on the warrant of arrest against him in the disproportionate of assets case. A stay was put on his arrest warrant for one week on the ground of quashing petition filed by Tirkey at the Jharkhand High Court challenging the cognizance taken against him by the CBI court.
Juveniles arrested for crime
Ranchi Police on Monday arrested as many as six children including five juveniles for theft and cases of burglary. While one of the accused is said to be around 22 years of age rest are under 18. Police have recovered around seven mobile sets, watch, gas cylinder, tape recorder from their possession. All minors have been sent to remand home.
