Assembly gets women’s special lobby
Acting on the request made by Social Welfare Minister Annapurna Devi during monsoon session of Jharkhand Assembly, Speaker Shashank Shekhar Bhokta on Wednesday, directed to prepare a women’s special lobby for the female legislators. The women’s lobby will be located on the first floor of the Assembly building. Presently, there are two lobbies in the Jharkhand Assembly building namely north and south lobby which are commonly being used by both male and female legislators.
Teachers’ Day celebration in Women’s College
Students of Ranchi Women’s college Arts department celebrated Teachers’ Day in their department auditorium on Wednesday. An array of colourful cultural programme was presented by the students in order to pay respect to their teachers.

DFO seizes illegal logs
A TATA 407 (Reg. number BR 14 G- 0135) loaded with 50 pieces of illegal acacia logs worth More than Rs 75,000 was seized by Forest Department on Wednesday. The truck was coming from somewhere in Khunti . The seizure took place near Garkhantanga in Tupudana. It was a joint operation of Ranchi and Khunti DFO as the truck was chased from Khunti who was caught near Tupudana.

ICICI Bank opens new branch at Morabadi
A new branch of ICICI Bank was inaugurated by Ranchi DC Vinay Kumar Choubey and other senior officials of the bank at Park Plaza, Tagore Hill Road, of Morabadi, in Ranchi on September 4. ICICI Bank with 3,310 branches and extension counters, and 10,486 ATMs spread across the country announced that the branch will remain open for customer transactions from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Monday to Friday and 9.00 am to 2.00 pm on Saturday.
