A youth with the help of a photo studio owner allegedly distributed the porn photo of a 26-year-old girl through bluetooth and MMS in his mobile after morphing her face with a porn photo of another girl.
According to Patkura police sources, one Juli Charles Mohanty (name changed), a resident of Manikapur village under Talasanga gram panchayat on Sunday lodged an FIR alleging that Tithia Mahali, a fellow village youth, allegedly with the help of a Nuapada-based Rasmita photo studio and editing center owner Bikram Mohanty tampered her picture. He later started blackmailing her younger sister by showing the nude photo and demanded her to marry him, besides a sum of Rs 1 lakh for not distributing the photo in the locality.
First, Tithia threatened to distribute the morphed photo in the locality and also in several porn websites through internet in case the victim's sister did not oblige. And when the sister did not oblige, Tithia allegedly distributed the morphed photo.
The victim girl alleged that some days back she had given her mobile chips in which her photos were stored to studio owner Bikram Mohanty in order to print a few copies of her photos which she needed for Adhar card. later, Tithia Mahali slyly collected her photos from the studio and started playing a mischief.
The victim girl also said when she asked Tithia on June 29 last as to why he played the mischief, Tithia allegedly tried to strangulate her. She disclosed that her marriage, which was recently being negotiated, was broken following the groom's family came to know about the porn photo.
Acting on the FIR, police registered a case against the accused and detained his father. Besides, an investigation has been started. The prime accused is yet to be arrested, said IIC Nilakantha Prasad Patra.
