‘State failed in convincing Plan panel’

Dehradun: Rural litigation Entitlement Kendra (RlEK) chairperson  Avdhash Kaushal has alleged that Uttarakhand has miserably failed in convincing Planning Commission in enhancing the economic package. To raise just Rs 300 Crore more than the last year is nothing but an eye wash because more than this amount have to be distributed in the arrears of salaries as well as enhance DA to state government employees and now the local self governance employees as well.

To ask for green bonus as compensation to the stalled Hydro projects is nothing but half heartedness attitude of Uttarakhand. Now if these stalled projects like Bhaironghati (381 MW), loharinag Pala (600 MW)  and Pala Maneri (480 MW) which have all the clearances starts, the entire production shall be the ownership of Uttarakhand Government. All these three projects can bring much more economic stability and self dependent on energy demand and shall also is in the interest of industries as well as the employment.
