Infant mortality rate declines: Survey
Jharkhand has the lowest Infant mortality rate (IMR) among the 8 empowered action group (EAG) States and Assam in India. As per the latest Annual Health Survey (AHS) bulletin 2011-12, recently released by the Office of the Registrar General of Government of India, IMR in the State is 38 per 1000 live births. The rate was 41 in 2010-11. The IMR rate in other states in India are Uttar Pradesh – 70, Madhya Pradesh – 65, Odisha-59, Rajasthan – 57, Assam-57, Bihar – 52, Chhattisgarh – 50 and Uttarakhand– 41. The findings are based on survey conducted in 284 districts in 9 states.
AJSU holds ‘Milan Samaroh’
Former Deputy Chief Minister and AJSU chief Sudesh Kumar Mahto has said that the divided powers of the State are to be put together to tackle the challenges to move the straight forward. He also said that the people of Jharkhand have to work hard to make it the country’s most prosperous State. Mahto also said that not only men but the women of this State will also come together and put their best in the development of the State. Mahto said that all have to come forward and work together. Speaking on the occasion party’s women leader Barsa Gadi said that AJSU party only works on the agenda of development.
May 28-29 Selection of mecon team
The selection trail for MECON football team for the session 2013-14 will take place at MECON Stadium on 28-29 May. The interested players can report to Secretary of football wing at MECON at7:00 AM in MECON Stadium, Shyamali on the day. The selected players will be given a monthly stipend. Rock concert at Morhabadi
A rock talent show was organised in Ranchi by Idea Cellular company in which out of 50 participants Subham was declared the winner. On Friday a rock concert was organised by Idea group in which this young talent of Ranchi performed with B- town heartthrob singer Mika Singh to perform live.
