Governor pays tribute to brave soldiers
Ranchi: Governor, Syed Ahmed on Monday paid tribute and laid wreaths at the Jharkhand War Memorial. He was accompanied by lieutenant General Gyan Bhushan, PVSM, UYSM, AVSM, VSM who also paid tributes to the brave soldiers for sacrificing their lives.
HC rejects bail petition of enosh Ekka’s kin
Ranchi: Jharkhand High Court on Monday rejected anticipatory bail petitions filed by Menon Ekka, wife of former Minister Ainos Ekka and Ibrahim Ekka, his brother. The court also rejected the bail petition of Jaikant Boda, another family member of Ainos. All have been facing charges of accumulating wealth more than known source of income.
Cbi charges against Ex Health Secy framed
Ranchi: CBI’s Special Court has framed charges against former Health Secretary Dr Pradeep Kumar and eight others in medicine mobile unit purchase scam. It is alleged that the persons had purchased 79 units between June 2008 and August 2009 at the cost higher than actual that incurred a scam of about Rs 24 crore. The court has named besides Pradeep Kumar Vijay Shankar Narayan, Pradyut Mukherjee, Shayamal Chakravorty, Gajanand Bhalotia, Nitish Bhalotia, Krishna Bhalotia and Naveen Bhalotia for the scam.
Robbers’ gang busted by lohardaga Police
Ranchi: lohardaga Police arrested four robbers and recovered arms from their possession. Among those arrested are lalit Munda, Etwa Munda, Hari Munda and Bandhan Turi, all residents of Dubang village.r As many as two country-made rifles, Rs 1500 allegedly looted by them and three mobile phones were recovered from the arrested persons.
Absenting officials to lose a day’s salary.As many as 13 officials of district administration were found absent in a surprise checking on April 29. The officials will lose a day’s salary as a punishment for absenting from work without informing the superior authority.
