East Central Zone of lIC outshines others
East Central Zone of lIC of India, covering Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha once again has the distinction of being the No. 1 Zone in growth rate in number of policies and achievement to budget in policies and first premium income on All India basis during the Financial Year 2012-13. Motihari, Madhubani and Hajipur from East Central Zone are the first top three branches on an All India basis in number of policies. On the basis of achievement to budget at a national level, 5 of the top 10 divisions were from East Central Zone.
Badminton Tournament on April 26-28
MECON Sports Club, Ranchi is going to organize 2nd Invitation Badmintion Tournament from 26th to 28th April, 2013 at JVM Hall, Shyamali, Ranchi to provide platform for entire badminton fraternity as well as to instill spirit and confidence in the aspiring talents of Jharkhand. The interested teams from various public and private sector organizations viz. leading Steel Plants (BSl, VSP, RSP, DSP, IISCO) Banks, Railways, IT, AG Office, CMPDIl, CCl, P&T etc. along with different educational institutions (all players and teams within the state of Jharkhand other than SAIl Plants) are expected to make this mega event a success.
4th Public Sector Week observed
Fourth Public Sector Week was observed in MECON limited, Ranchi office from 10th April 2013 to 16th April, 2013. According to the guideline of Standing Conference of Public Sector Enterprises (SCOPE) this Public sector week was observed in all the PSE. During the week, conferences, seminars workshops, cultural programs were organized by PSEs all over the country and abroad for highlighting excellence achieved by public sector enterprises. As a part of this celebration a Debate competition was organized in MECON Office by the HRD Department. The topic of the debate was “Relevance of Public Sector inToday’s scenario”. MECON employees participated in this debate and expressed their opinion in this burning issue.
