De-salination plant inaugurated
The Nemmeli Sea Water desalination plant located on the East Coast road, south of Chennai, was formally inaugurated by Honurable Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu Jayalalithaa, paving the way for the city to receive additional water. The water from Nemmeli plant will offset the shortage due to loss of water from Veeranam tank. At the inaugural function, Municipal Administration and Water Supply secretary K. Phanindra Reddy stated that a plot of 40.5 acres was allotted for the plant. Of this, only 20 acres were required as fewer treatment units were built as the Nemmeli plant uses a compact and faster treatment process when compared to the conventional filtration system in Minjur.
master plan: FJCCI to organise seminar
Federation of Jharkhand Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FJCCI) is organising a seminar on Friday at Chamber Bhawan to discuss at the provisions of the proposed master plan for development of Ranchi city. Chamber has invited one and all citizens of city who could contribute positively in improving the master plan.
