Civil court staff killed in road mishap
Garhwa: A Civil Court staff was crushed to death and another was seriously injured in a road mishap on Monday evening. Seriously injured Kanahaiya Singh was referred to RIMS after first aid treatment.
According to reports, injured Kanhaiya Singh was going to court road with Satyendra Prasad Singh on a bike when they were ran over by a truck coming from the same direction. Satyendra Prasad Singh succumbed to his injuries while Kanhaiya Singh has been referred to RIMS after first aid. Police have arrested the driver of truck and seized the vehicle. Decease has been identified as Sateyndra Prasad Singh a resident of Nalanda, Bihar. He was working on the post of steno in Principal District Judge Court and resided in Garhwa Police handed over the bodies to the family of deceased .
Rs3.31 lakh looted at gunpoint in Ghatshila
Jamshedpur: Unidentified bike-borne criminals looted Rs 3.31 lakh from a man on gunpoint at Ulda village of Ghatshila in broad daylight.
The victim Prashant Giri, manager of a Galudih-based petrol pump was on his way to Galudih branch of Bank of India’s to deposit the said amount when he was intercepted by four bike-borne miscreants and was looted on gunpoint. Soon after the incident, the petrol pump manager informed the police, after which a police party led by assistant SP, Kartik S to start a search operation on the national highway.
The ASP later said that the victim has given the sketchy idea about the criminals. The ASP said that as the victim’s routine work involved depositing the sale-proceeds of the petrol pump every day, the criminals must have followed his movement closely and finally committed the loot after hatching a foolproof plan. In this connection, the police have registered a case of loot against four unknown on the FIR lodged with the Galudih police station by the pump manager Prashant Giri.
Bl Saboo is new director finance of UCIl
Jamshedpur: Bl Saboo has joined Uranium Corporation of India ltd (UCIl). As Director Finance, official sources of the public sector company said on Tuesday. Saboo took charge on Monday. Prior to this appointment Saboo was in Narmada Hydroelectric Devepolment Corporation ltd, a joint venture of the Madhya Pradesh Government and NHPC. Headquartered at Jadugora Uranium Corporation of India limited was incorporated on in 1967. It is a public sector enterprise under the Department of Atomic Energy. UCIl is at the forefront of the Nuclear Power cycle.
