Tension gripped Jamshedpur when bullet-riddled bodies of two youths were found lying at Jemco under Telco police station area late on Monday night. The bodies have been identified. They were Prem Kumar alias Pintu (22), a resident of Parsudih and Sanjay Singh (23), a resident of Carriage Colony in Burmamines.
Police said the twin murder was the result of monetary dispute between Mithun Kumar, the prime accused in the case and Sanjay's uncle Narayan Singh. Police have sent the bodies to the MGM Medical College mortuary.
They also seized an SUV, which the assailants had used in the twin murder. Officer-in-charge, Telco police station Kamleshwar Pandy claimed to have identified all the five assailants involved in the murders and said that a monetary dispute between Mithun and Narayan Singh over the payment of Rs20,000 was the reason of dispute. The police said they have already seized the SUV used in the twin-murder and also identified those involved in the murder.
“We have full information that all the five assailants have fled the city, but we have the cellphone number of Mithun,” said a police officer. We are trying to track the accused by putting the cell-number on surveillance. We are hopeful of arresting the twin murder case accused soon, he added.
