Pilgrims are in rapture for their December 15 journey from Daltonganj. General Manager of Jharkhand State Tourism Development Corporation Rajiv Ranjan said that 1000 pilgrims are to travel by this train which will start from Daltonganj on Friday for three religious places Puri, Konark and Bhuvneshwar.
The pilgrims’ passage is under the aegis of Mukhiya Mantri Tirth Darshan Yojna. Palamu’s contingent is of 500 pilgrims while Garhwa and latehar have 300 and 200 pilgrims respectively.
Ranjan said the train is of 16 bogie and none is any AC bogie.
There is a pantry car too. Food and other things like tea water etc will be provided free to the pilgrims. The State government is to cough up Rs 9,000 to 10,000 per pilgrim for this darshan. IRCTC is managing the whole affair. Four days will be consumed in up and down journey. Ranjan said all pilgrims are to be given home to station and back services. The idea is that they spend not a farthing for this darshan yatra.
As some pilgrims are old the IRCTC has arranged medical team for them in the running train also informed Rajiv Ranjan.
