A 19-year-old girl committed suicide after hanging herself from the ceiling at her house over a failed love affair, under the jurisdiction of BokaroThermal police station, on Wednesday. As per police reports, the deceased was identified as Kajal Kumari, who was a student of Intermediate Arts in Degree College, Bokaro Thermal.
Police said the girl’s father Dharmendra Sharma, who works as carpenter in a private company in Patna told them that the entire family went to sleep after returning from a birthday party. When her mother woke up at around 3.10 am, She did not see Kajal in her room. Panicked, she started searching for her in the house and found her hanging from the ceiling in another room. “She used a scarf as a rope to hang herself from the ceiling,” said station Officer in Charge of Bokaro thermal police station, Umesh KumarThakur officer in charge.
