A 13-year old girl was burnt to death under mysterious circumstances at Jaridih niche bazaar area under Gandhi-nagar police station in Bokaro district here on Monday at about 11 am, according to police in charge Rana Bhanu Pratap Singh. The girl has been identified as Arti Kumari, daughter of Komod Kumar Sinha. She was said to had suffered with 100 per cent burnt.
The family was originally from Haryana as her father has been working there and she had come to Jaridih for studies and was staying at home of her maternal uncle, police added. According to reports Arti Kumari caught with fire when she was heating milk at stove at her house. According to police Arti Kumari was alone at house.
The circumstances leading to death of the girl appeared suspicious, said local residents. The Bokaro SP YS Ramesh added that the police were investigating the case.
