A cell phone seller Chhotu Soni died in sleep in his mobile shop in a post midnight fire on Tuesday. At least 30 shops were also gutted in the fire that broke in lesliganj area, said officer in charge of lesliganj police station Rana Jung Bahadur Singh.
Soni was sleeping in his mobile shop when fire broke out in the adjoining shops. He was given calls to come out but he did not wake up.
the shop owners are quite angry with the administration as fire tender took much time to reach there from Daltonganj. Cause of fire is still unknown. Short circuit is suspected. All the 30 shops are of shanty structures. There were wood work more in these shops and so the fire was most devastating.
