The closing ceremony of the International Conference REFIS-4.0 on the theme "Future of Refractory in Iron and Steel Industry" which lasted for two days was held on 24th September at the Human Resource Development Center of BSL.
On this occasion Executive Director (Operations) BK Tiwari, Executive Director (SRU) cum Chairman REFIS-4.0 PK Rath, President (Indian Ceramics Society) Dr LK Sharma, Chief General Manager (Refractories) cum Vice Chairman VP Upadhyay, Chief General Manager and other senior officers and participants of the conference were present.At the beginning of the program, VP Upadhyay welcomed everyone and informed about the various points of this conference, which lasted for two days.
(ED) BK Tiwari, ED (SRU) cum Chairman REFIS-4.0 PK Rath, Dr. LK Sharma, President (Indian Ceramics Society) congratulated the organizers for the successful conduct of the conference and expressed hope that all the participants must have benefited from this conference.It is noteworthy that in this conference, apart from all SAIL plants, more than 350 delegates including Tata Steel, JSW, refractory manufacturers participated and presented 40 technical papers.
Along with making the country self-reliant in the matter of refractory, the experts of the refractory manufacturers and steel industry also discussed the latest technology related to Industry-4.0 in this sector like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning etc.At the end of the program, General Manager (Refractories) cum Convenor of the conference, Mr. Sandeep S. Lal proposed vote of thanks.
