A meeting of the social security and social welfare department was conducted by the district administration. The meeting was chaired by deputy commissioner of Hazaribag Nancy Sahay.
In the meeting the DC said that the Sarvjan Pension Yojana is in the priority list of the Government. The officers must give the benefit of the yojana to those who are 60 years old and fulfill the other requirements of the yojana. She further said that the verification of the application is going on in every block, but this work must be on the war level. We want to achieve the target as early as possible, so that our district can achieve the first position in the State.
Sahay said to the social security department that they should issue the UDID card to such persons who are physically enabled. The block headquarter has to approach all the persons but not apply for the card.
She further directed the social welfare department to prepare the list of Mukhayamantri Kanyadan Yojana and also verified the applications of the applicants. DC further said that we must achieve the hundred percent achievement in the Pradhan Mantri Matritva Yojana.
She also emphasized on the Anganbari Kendra and directed that every Kendra must be equipped with drinking water, washrooms. She said that out of 1067 Anganbari Kendra 953 are without the facility of electricity. She directed officers to give the such Kendra, so that the district administration will approach the electricity department to provide the connections.
