In an effort to provide young learners with a well-rounded and experiential education, the renowned play school "Step by Step with Dolly Aunty" organised an engaging outdoor activity for its students. On Tuesday, the children were treated to a delightful rickshaw ride around the CH Area, giving them a unique opportunity to explore the outside world and broaden their understanding of their surroundings.
Led by the dedicated team at Step by Step with Dolly Aunty, the outdoor activity aimed to expose children to the sights, sounds, and experiences beyond the confines of the classroom. With the guidance of principal Dolly Upadhyay herself, the children embarked on a rickshaw ride that took them on a mini adventure through the local area.
The initiative aligns with the play school's educational philosophy, which emphasizes hands-on learning and sensory exploration. "We believe that learning extends far beyond textbooks. By venturing outdoors and immersing themselves in real-world experiences, children can develop a deeper connection with their environment and gain valuable insights," she said.
During the rickshaw ride, the children were treated to a sensory feast as they observed the hustle and bustle of daily life, the vibrant colours of the surroundings, and the hum of the city.
The event not only brought smiles to the children's faces but also sparked their curiosity and stimulated their cognitive development. "It was like a little adventure! I saw so many things I've never noticed before," exclaimed one enthusiastic young participant.
As parents eagerly awaited their children's return, they expressed their appreciation for the school's efforts. "These experiences are truly enriching for our children. It's heartwarming to see them learning while having fun," commented a parent.
"Step by Step with Dolly Aunty" plans to continue organising various outdoor activities to ensure that children receive a well-rounded education that extends beyond the classroom walls. These initiatives reflect the play school's dedication to nurturing curious, well-rounded, and socially aware young learners. On Friday, the kids will be taken to the local Army Camp in the CH area.
