Just a day after joining Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) by Lohardaga MLA, Sukhdeo Bhagat, Indian National Congress (INC) expressed happiness over the departure of the MLA from the party.

Addressing a press meet on Thursday Rajya Sabha MP from Jharkhand, Dheeraj Prasad Sahu said that departure of Bhagat will augur well for Congress and the party is feeling relieved now.

Sahu said that there is an atmosphere of happiness among Congressmen due to the departure of Bhagat. When Bhagat was in Congress he was never a party worker, he always stayed with his family members, he added.  While criticising the MLA, the veteran Congress leader and the party MP said that Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC) president Rameshwar Oraon brought Bhagat in the party instead of oblige Oraon for inclusion in the party, Bhagat accused Oraon for his defeat in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections. Bhagat forgot that he included in the party by Oraon and made him an MLA.

“Due to direct interference of Bhagat in the City Council, corruption is prevalent in the Council, the people of Lohardaga are watching everything and understanding Bhagat and they have set their mind to teach him a lesson in the upcoming State Assembly elections. His dream to become once again MLA from the seat will not be fulfilled,” said Sahu.

Either Bhagat contest from  Lohardaga or Bishunpur he will must bite the dust in the election, Lohardaga was strong bastion of the party it will remain same and no one can take it from the party, he added.
