To avoid accidents on the roads, the passengers and vehicles must follow the rules and standards of road safety on the way. This is the duty of the road safety committee to repair the spot of possible accidents in the accident prone zone in the district.
This was instructed by the deputy commissioner of Hazaribag Nancy Sahay in the monthly review meeting with the members of the road safety committee. She said that the possibility of accidents has increased in the winter session, so all the measures to avoid the accident on the roads should be taken.
She said that toll free numbers must be published and must be shown on the board side of the road. So that in case of an accident the injured persons will get immediate medical help.
The DC further said that the person who will help the injured person must be appreciated by the hospital management and police department also. So that everyone can come forward for the help of injured persons.
She emphasized that the awareness programme must be organised in the school and colleges. She instructed that a letter must be written to all school management to check the fitness of the vehicles which are run by the schools in the town and surrounding areas.
She directed the police department to conduct the special training programme for the police personnel who are in the field of traffic system. In the meeting the district transport officers and all members of the road safety committee were present.
