As the polls for Lok Sabha election is to be held on May 12 in Girdih, JMM candidate from the constituency, Jagarnath Mahato, on Sunday asked the electors to not keep their hard earned money in banks as it has become difficult to have faith on financial institutions in the regime of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“It is better to dig a hole and bury your money than keeping it in banks as it can vanish any day under Modi government,” Mahto said while addressing a public meeting as part of his motorcycle rally at Tundi, Baghamara, Pirtand, Jainamore,Guniyato and Kasmar.
Candidate of the JMM of Giridih parliamentary seat, along with his followers, sped across the urban constituency on on bike while campaigning for the Lok Sabha polls to be held on May 12.
Mahto along with his leader Hemant Soren and over 200 supporters took part in public rally in all six places of Giridih constituency as he travelled through the areas on bike. Soon after the campaign Mahto said, “People would definitely vote for us as we are one of them. I understand the problems of the masses and would try to solve them, if we get elected.”
Hemant Soren accused BJP of cheating people and said that Modi only works for the benefit of the rich.
“In past five years, BJP had done nothing. You know why the BJP government has given gas cylinders to poor people and launched a scheme to build pucca houses ? It is because after a person gets these benefits they will not be counted below poverty line and all the facilities given to them on the name of BPL categories can be stopped,” Soren said.
He added, “Modi asked people to open bank accounts and ensured that they will all get Rs 15 lakh but it was all an eyewash. The day is not far when you will lose your money kept in banks.”
