‘Grand Alliance leaders to select new face in Jharkhand’

The Congress party is in favour of formalising policies of the Grand Alliance to run Government before deciding its leader. Speaking at a press conference, the Congress State president Ajoy Kumar said, “Our only one goal is to prevent BJP to take power in the Sate and the Center.

There is no issue of leadership in the alliance. Before announcing face of the alliance the leaders of the alliance will sit together and formalise a policy on which the government will work. The Kolebira bye election will not affect the health of the alliance.”

Criticizing the State government, Kumar said, “The government is not taking initiative on the killing of Amit Topno as he was a journalist.  He used to report on the Pathalgadi issue. It is duty of the journalist fraternity to raise the issue vehemently. In another case some days earlier a journalist was beaten up by the police. The government is trying to silence voices of media but the Congress will not let them to do so as media is for the pillar of democracy.” Our Party president Rahul Gandhi has said that we will support the journalists irrespective of they will support us or not, he added. On the issue of delaying on shape of the alliance Kumar said, “There is no confusion in 11 to 12 seats of parliamentary seats and also in around 70 State Assembly seats. We will sort it out very soon.  This is right that we have to sit together with other partners of Grand Alliance.” Addressing the gathering on the occasion Congress Legislature Party Leader Alamgir Alam said this is message for the upcoming coming elections in 2019 in the State and the Centre. People’s faith has increased on Rahul Gandhi.

“We will meet para teachers on December 26 and will try to pacify them. We will raise the every issue in the ongoing session of the State Assembly,” he added.

Newly elected MLA form Kolebira Naman Bixal Kongadi was also present on the occasion. Extending thank to the Congress party he said, “Thanks to Rahul Gandhi with the State and the District committees have shown faith on candidates like me who have no money and backdoor support. It is only Congress party can give ticket to honest and hardworking people irrespective of their weight.”
