Door to door survey will be done for Sarvajan Pension Yojana, so that maximum numbers of eligible beneficiaries get the benefit of the scheme. Through a virtual meeting held on Thursday, Ranchi Deputy Commissioner (DC), Chhavi Ranjan directed to work under a special campaign in Ranchi district for this.
Ranjan said, “The Government appreciated the excellent performance of Ranchi district in Government at your door programme and Ranchi district has stood first in the entire State”.
Ranjan said that no eligible beneficiary should be left out of Sarvajan Pension Yojana. “Not even a single eligible old, disabled and destitute woman should be deprived of the benefits of the scheme. Marking the eligible beneficiaries according to the voter list, they should be given the benefit of the scheme. Said that BLO and Sevika-Sahayak will do door to door survey work. Instructions have been given to depute women supervisors for surveys in urban areas. There will be a lady supervisor at 5-6 booths,” he added.
During the meeting, the DC directed to provide a daily report of the survey being conducted in various blocks. He said that the block level survey report should be sent to the District Social Welfare Officer and Assistant Director Social Security, so that the process could be completed at the earliest for giving pension to the eligible beneficiaries.
Ranjan spoke of strict action in case of any negligence in the process of taking the benefits of Sarvajan Pension Yojana to the beneficiaries. He said that if there is a complaint of any CDPO, BSW, lady supervisor, then report to the BDO. Action will be taken against them immediately.
Expressing displeasure over the lack of expected progress of the scheme, the DC directed to expedite the work and along with this, all the BDO-COs were asked to set up camps in their respective areas on every Tuesday and Friday. The DC also directed to make the forms available on VHSND in all Anganwadi centers so that the eligible beneficiaries coming to Anganwadi centers can be provided the benefits of the scheme during this period.
“The special campaign being run for Sarvajan Pension Yojana will be monitored by the district level officials. DC directed to nominate senior officers for each 4-5 blocks. Those who will visit the concerned block on the day of the camp,” said Ranjan.
