‘Coalition Govt taking credit of former Govt’s works’

Published on:

State BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo on Friday said the State Government is unable to do anything new on its own but is patting its back for the work of the former Government.

The decision to do mutation of GM land was taken at the time of the BJP Government led by Raghubar Das.

On July 3, 2018, the State Cabinet had decided that the receipt of GM land of people living or farming for years would be issued.

At that time many people either did not have Khatian or those were in a shabby state, due to which the work of digitisation could not be done and resultantly the receipt of many people could not be issued.

In the State Cabinet meeting on 11 June 2019, it was instructed to make the required amendments in the software of NIC in view of the difficulties in cutting the receipt.

On 18 July 2019, all the Deputy Commissioners were written letters directing them to hold revenue camps for issuing the receipt of GM land. The work started but shortly after, the Model Code of Conduct came into effect due to which it had to be stopped. Pratul said that this was a decision taken by the BJP government, whose credit today is trying to take a coalition government.
