Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Ajay Chandrakar on Wednesday informed Chhattisgarh Assembly that ‘Zero Year’ was declared for Government Medical College, Ambikapur and Raipur Institute of Medical Sciences, Raipur.
In a written reply to leader of Opposition T S Singhdeo, the Minister informed that the faculty selection process for the Government Medical College , Ambikapur conducted by the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission remained underway till the last date of application during inspection by the Medical Council of India and recruitment could not be made possible to meet MCI parameters.
In case of private medical colleges, the management of concerned colleges are held responsible, he said.
