Ahead of IPlT-20 match scheduled on April 28, Delhi Daredevils and Pune Warriors participated in the practice session at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium on Friday.
The match is crucial for both the teams to ensure their journey in the season 6 of IPl.
Mitchell Marsh of Pune Warrior talking with media persons here at the stadium said that “we still have a chance to win the series if we win all the 7 remaining matches”.
“Thought it is not an easy task because we have tough competitors and every team will try to seal its berth in the ongoing season. Still we will try out best to win the matches and hope that luck favours us,” Marsh said.
“Our players have the stuff to win matches and they are yet to deliver their best,” Marsh opined. Cutting down the rumours about injury of Yuvraj Singh and doubt over playing of the star batsman in April 28 match, Marsh informed that Yuvraj is totally fit and he will be the part of playing squad in match against Delhi Daredevils.
Earlier, Yusuf Pathan accepting the poor performance of team in the season, said bowlers and batsmen were not clicking on the right time during the matches.
“Still we have matches in our hand and we will try to give our best in coming matches ahead. The next match with Pune Warrior is a crucial one,” Pathan said. Replying to a query that absence of Peterson is affecting the team performance, Pathan said, it is not like this. “In the past to we have played without Peterson and won the matches.” Answering a question about his marriage, the pace bowler quipped that his fans will have to wait two more years.
