The heavy showers that submerged several parts of Raipur city took life of a youth. His body was found in Ravi Nagar nullah on Wednesday morning police said. The body of deceased youth was dug out after a painstaking efforts and help of JCB machine.
According to police the deceased was identified as Rupesh Thorani a resident of Shailendra Nagar. His bike Hero Honda CBZ (CG-04 ZD-7773) was also found standing near the nullah. The body was spotted by Raipur Municipal Corporation (RMC) staff who arrived at the spot to clear the nullah on Wednesday morning.
As soon as word of body in nullah spread large number of local people gathered at the spot. later on the RMC staff then informed Civil lines police which arrived at the spot.The body of youth was trapped below the road in the tunnel. The RMC workers then dug roads and took out the body.
The relatives of deceased youth identified his body. Civil lines police has registered a case in this connection and are investigating.
