Chhattisgarh Police on Tuesday arrested a young man for killing his aunt over petty family fights in Raipur city.
Raipur Additional Superintendent of Police (Urban) Sukhnandan Rathore said Ranjeet Rathore of Shivanandnagar killed Sarswati (31) on Monday night.
Rathore told the police that he was upset over his aunty’s taunts since he came to Raipur from Janajgir-Champa in search of a job some months ago.
Despite taking up a private sector job, his aunt regularly offended him.
On Monday night, he strangled her to death when his uncle had gone on night shift. A court sent him to prison.
