Under the directives of Jashpur Superintendent of Police Jitendra Singh Meena, a daylong workshop on human trafficking was recently conducted as a part of the community policing programme.

During the workshop, Sister Sevti Panna, an advocate by profession, stressed on creating mass awareness to keep a check on human trafficking. SHO M J Firdousi insisted on keeping an eye on the people coming from different places. He also laid emphasis on keeping the youths away from drugs and liquor.

In her address, Sister Sevti Das Panna appealed the people not to come under the influence of placement agencies who promise them for sending out of their home town for placement purpose. The women present on the occasion were asked to be aware about the criminal activities happening in the name of black-magic and witch-craft.
