Sri Satya Sai Sanjeevni Hospital, Naya Raipur, will hold a one-day workshop of specialists on “Heart disease test during pregnancy” on June 7.
Director, AIIMS Raipur, Dr Nitin Nagarkar will inaugurate the workshop at 10.30 am. Specialists from different states of the country, including Chhattisgarh’s medical colleges have been invited for the workshop.
Officers of the hospital said that the hospital, in association with the Chhattisgarh School Education Department and the Health Department, by launching a campaign named ‘Divine Child Health Programme’ in villages around 10 km area, had conducted health check up of 1,250 children in a dozen schools and suggested their parents and teachers to keep the children in good health.
The Hospital here has been providing free treatment and operation to all kinds of congenital heart patients, informed specialist doctors at a brief meeting organised at the hospital here on Friday. They said that because of irregular routine and irregular eating habits in the modern lifestyle, the danger of heart disease has increased among children, along with the aged. Director, Public Relations, OP Choudhary was also present in the meeting.
Coordinator of the hospital, Dr MA Chakravarty said that the hospital equipped with all modern medical equipments, started 18 months ago in accordance with the life vision of Shri Satya Sai Baba which is “love for all and service for all”, is dedicated for providing free treatment and free operation facility to congenital heart patients.
As all the services and facilities here are free, there is no billing counter in the hospital. Free food and housing for the patient and one attendant are arranged in the hospital.
Besides paediatric cardiac surgery, complicated operations of congenital heart patients, from newly-born to youngsters up to 35 years of age group were being done free of cost.
The 25-bed hospital established near Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Cricket Stadium at Sector-2 in Naya Raipur, has created a new identity in the treatment world of Chhattisgarh in the country within a short span of one-and-half years. Two Paediatric cardiologists, one Cardiac Anesthesia Specialist, two child specialists and about 100 nurses and paramedical staff are providing day and night services in this hospital.
