State Congress chief Bhupesh Baghel said on Monday that in the interest of youths belonging to Chhattisgarh, the Governor should intervene in the matter of outsourcing of teachers by the State Government but it is not known why he is keeping mum over the issue linked with the future of youths”.
Terming the Government’s stand on outsourcing of teachers as wrong, Baghel while interacting with the media persons pointed that outsourcing of teachers in Bastar and Surguja region is clear violation of fifth schedule and reservation policy.
“Even though, eligible candidates for teaching posts are available and unemployed in the State, the Government has initiated efforts for outsourcing of teachers from other states,” Baghel said.
Citing data on contractual appointment of ANMs in Kanker district (being collected by Congress workers through Right to Information), Baghel said despite, availability of qualified and eligible candidates, the BJP government has given appointment to 55 candidates from other states against 122 vacant ANM posts.
While several eligible candidates of Nursing course are yet to get employment, the government has carried out appointment of ANMs through placement agencies which makes its intention clear on recovering ‘commission’ amount from placement agencies, alleged Baghel, adding that large number of eligible candidates in Abujhmad region are still to be employed and government has recruited around 28 people from Andhra Pradesh.a
