Women workers of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will be playing a key role during the upcoming Assembly polls in Chhattisgarh, BJP's National Women's Wing President Vijaya Rahatkar said here on Wednesday.
She is currently on a three-day tour of the State.
Addressing media persons, Rahatkar said that the party will deploy 10 workers in every booth.
The women workers will take the policies of Central and State government to the people of the State.
On the Vikas Yatra, she said that the State government had been seeking help of women workers in its development journey.
The BJP had been in power in Chhattisagrh for the last 15 years on account of good work done by Chief Minister Raman Singh, Rahatkar said.
Just for the record, the State BJP Mahila Morcha in Raipur had carried out appointment of 10 members each on August 4, 2013 at the booth level to prepare for the last Assembly polls in the State.
The appointments were made during the meeting of 16 Circle presidents and general secretaries of the Mahila Morcha in Chhattisgarh.
