Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday said that it was on the pleas made by women, his Government imposed total prohibition in the State.
‘Total prohibition in Bihar had been in effect since April 5, 2016. I was in a huge dilemma whether to go ahead with imposition of total prohibition in State or not”, he said during his brief visit to Chhattisgarh. Before imposition of total prohibition, the Bihar Government got signed a pledge letter from parents of children in support of prohibition, Kumar said.
Women in Bihar are very happy following the imposition of total prohibition in the State, he said.
