A 40-year old woman was shot dead at Adarsh Nagar locality under Pandri Police Station area jurisdiction on intervening night of Saturday and Sunday. The woman has deserted her husband and children, was living alone.
According to information from Pandri police, the woman Kavita Verma alias Sima, 40, had left his husband Chatradhari Verma and her children. She was living alone in Adarsh Nagar locality. The husband of the deceased works as a carpenter and lives in Daldal Seoni.
The incident happened on the intervening night of July 28 and 29 when some unidentified person had shot the woman dead. Police had registered a case under relevant sections is further investigating the case, police said.
According to police the character of Kavita, who was living alone was susceptible. According to neighbours, the young boys were observed entering her Adarsh Nagar based residence. Prima facie, the husband seems to be innocent and has nothing to do with the murder, police said.
However, the police are investigating into the matter with all the angles and soon the culprit would be trapped, said the police official.
