A woman belonging to Bastar allegedly fled from Hospital in the district after leaving behind her dead child.
After keeping the body of the dead child for four days as no one turned up to claim it, the hospital management informed the police. According to police, a woman of Kuribeda village under Vishrampur post in Bastar district had come for delivery at Bathena Hospital on September 16. On the same night around midnight the lady reportedly delivered a dead girl child. On the following day, relatives of the woman also deposited Rs 2000 as the charges of the hospital but after some time they quietly left without taking the body of the child.
After waiting for four days when no one turned up to claim the body, the hospital management informed the police which started investigation after making ‘panchnama’ of the body. later Swargdham Seva Samiti performed the last rites of the dead child.
