Chhattisgarh Police on Saturday arrested a 35-year-old woman for cheating 19 people on the pretext of providing them business loans from a private bank in Bilaspur district, police said. Another accused woman is at large. Bilaspur Senior Superintendent of Police Parul Mathur identified the arrested woman as Pushpa Kaiwart of Manikpur village. Anjali Chakradhar of Sarkanda in Bilaspur city is on the run. Complainant Jitendra Dewangan (52) lodged a cheating case with the police on Friday. Kaiwart and Chakradhar duped Dewangan and 18 others on the promise of providing them a business loan of Rs 10 lakh. They took Rs 3 lakh from them in the name of margin money for the loan amount. Police nabbed Kaiwart from her house in Manikpur village. A court sent her to jail.
