Body of a 35-year-old woman was found in her home located in Kota colony under Saraswati Nagar police station on Wednesday morning. The woman was allegedly strangulated by a youth whom she had known for long time, police said.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Kunj Bai alias Guddi (35). The deceased used to live alone as her husband had left her several years back. A relative of Kunj Bai had also reached her home, who had reportedly seen the accused, but was not able to identify him, police informed.
The Station House Officer, Saraswati Nagar informed that prima facie evidences suggest that she was strangulated. Blood marks were also found on the face of body that was found in the bathroom of house. Some ornaments were also missing from the house following the incident, police said.
A youth who regularly visited her house had reached Kunj Bai’s home on Wednesday morning after which she was found dead. The suspected youth is yet to be arrested, police said. The body has been sent for post-mortem and case in this connection has been registered with Saraswati Nagar Police Station.
