A 60-year-old woman reportedly died of dysentery in Parsvani village located in remote area of Pithora developmental block under Mahasamund district. About a dozen of villagers are in the grip of deadly disease, sources claimed.
Meanwhile the district administration has sent a team of doctors and has begun treatment. According to reports coming from the far-flung region Vinaya Bai (60) was suffering from dysentery. She was rushed to primary health centre but due to absence of medical staff she succumbed, villagers alleged.
