A woman who recently returned from Velloor in Tamil Nadu after medical treatment has died in Jagdalpur in Chhattisgarh, health officials said on Wednesday.
Following her death, the Shanti Nagar ward where she lived was sealed as a precaution in a bid to arrest the spread of Covid-19.
Also, the area around her house has been sealed. Samples of her family members have been taken and sent for testing, a doctor said.
“The woman had returned from Velloor after getting kidney treatment,” Dr Azad from the Medical College said.
According to the doctor, she was brought dead to the hospital.
A large number of people from across India go to Velloor for medical treatment.
