Former Chief Minister and Janata Congress Chhattisgarh (JCC (J) Supremo Ajit Jogi had ruled out possibility of striking an alliance with any of the political parties including the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for the upcoming Assembly polls in the State.
Addressing media persons here on Monday, Jogi said that his outfit JCC (J) is going to contest the upcoming polls in all the 90 assembly seats in the State.
Replying to a query as to who from his family are going to contest polls, Jogi said it was not yet decided. It is only decided that I am going to contest the polls from Rajnandgaon assembly seat against the Chief Minister, he said.
With Jogi ruling out the possibility of having an alliance with BSP the rumours are floating over the same came to an end that Jogi was in touch with the BSP leaders of the state and soon a declaration regarding an alliance could be made.
Meanwhile, the BSP too has reportedly lost its base in the state which was once in certain pockets of Janjgir Champa and Bilaspur districts. That may be the very reason the JCC (J) was not desperate to talk with the leaders of the party.
Congress too was eyeing on BSP support for the possible alliance but the matter of seat share reportedly became impediment in it. The BSP was demanding more seats and Congress expressed its inability to provide that much of seat share.
